This day in Indianapolis hockey history: May 18

One birthday to note on May 18
Happy birthday to
Ryan Leasa: Defenseman who made his professional debut with the Ice in 2002-03 as a playoff-only player -- CHL rules allowed teams to add a limited number of amateur players for the playoffs. He was scoreless in four games in the playoffs, which came after he finished his college career at Alabama-Huntsville. He played two pro seasons with ECHL Toledo and CHL Austin, scoring two goals. A native of Sarnia, Ontario, he is 34.
