Ice to face Waterloo in Clark Cup Final

The Indiana Ice now know the opponent for the USHL Clark Cup Final - the Waterloo Black Hawks.

The series sets up a matchup of the league's top two teams this season. The Black Hawks won the Anderson Cup as the league's regular-season champion by two points over the Ice, but the two teams ran away with their division titles, and each went 6-1 en route to clinching a Clark Cup Final berth.

Waterloo defeated Sioux City 5-1 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final to move on Sunday night.

Waterloo has home ice advantage and will host Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-5 series this weekend. The series will likely shift to Indianapolis for Games 3 and 4 on May 16-17. A potential Game 5 will be played in Waterloo the following week.

The Ice will be seeking the second Clark Cup title in the franchise's 10-year history, having also won it in 2009. Waterloo will also be seeking its second championship, having won one in 2004.

The Ice and Black Hawks split two games during the regular season, with each winning on its home rink.

The Ice will also be seeking to bring a ninth hockey championship to Indianapolis, joining the 1942 and 1950 Indianapolis Capitals (AHL Calder Cup), 1958 Indianapolis Chiefs (IHL Turner Cup), 1982 and 1983 Indianapolis Checkers (CHL Adams Cup), 1990 Indianapolis Ice (IHL Turner Cup), 2000 Indianapolis Ice (CHL Miron Cup) and 2009 Indiana Ice (USHL Clark Cup).
