For the third straight year, the United States 18-and-under National team -- which competes in the USHL -- won the gold medal at the IIHF world 18U championships. The United States beat Sweden 4-3.
Connor Murphy scored the OT game-winner for the United States. On Saturday, Tyler Biggs was the hero in a 5-4 OT victory over Canada. Biggs is the son of former Cincinnati Cyclone Don Biggs. Murphy also has a hockey pedigree, the son of ex-NHLer Gord Murphy.
